Rain & Mania

What a beautiful day
To stay tucked away
To drink too much coffee
And sit still all day.
To gaze out the window
With caution the sill
The wetness incoming
The lack of my will.

Take me and shake me
And set me back down,
Maybe life will make sense
After I’ve spun around-
Turned on my head
Upside down on the bed
But there’s dizziness instead
of tired.
The haziness melts to some version
of wired.

Tied tight with cables
To nursery fables;
All for a seat at her
Wicked witch table
